Everybody knows about adsense. Besides the Google Adsense, there
are a few others and more on the way. Yahoo has a new version as well.
Adsense ads are everywhere.
The reason they are everywhere is that they work. They are a win
/ win / win situation wherein Google get their ads out for their clients. Their
clients get highly targeted, highly visible ads where they want them... on
highly visible sites with the same content.
And, the webmaster who places these ads on their sites
make a bit of money to a whole lot of many some of whom pull in over $20,000 a
month.
Most people who place the adsense ads on their sites are just
trying to "monetize" their site from their exit traffic... that is
traffic that is probably going to leave their site anyway.
You have worked hard to get that visitor, you may as well try to
get something for the effort. Right? Good!
The people who make the most money from adsense are mostly
webmasters who deliberately try to make money with adsense and nothing
else.
They act much like a television show which doesn't sell a
product but which brings in advertising dollars for the station and the
network.
Well, that's what you can do with adsense or any other
advertising medium you place strategically on your site.
Let's go further. Let's say that you do both.
You place the ads to obtain exit traffic. That's good. Place
them at the bottom of your page.
But, you can also do as many of us do and that is you can create
'content' sites whose only purpose is to attract quality traffic to those sites
and help people to find extra quality in the ads without overtly saying so. You
can't do that... ever. Or, you'll get blacklisted.
Remember: the focus is win / win / win. If you win and everybody
else loses, then, you lose too.
